The Bay of Plenty Doubles Champs was held at Lakes High over the weekend of 9-10 November.  24 Teams from as far away as Taranaki descended on the club to enjoy a fun event full of plenty of tough matches. HEAD Junior 900 Series Concludes

The popular HEAD Junior 900 series had it's final event at Devoy Squash & Fitness on 14 October.  The 8-event series is designed as a taster for kids to get into competitive squash.  Players get points for each event entered and each match and division they win.  At the end of the series the top five (based on their best 5 results) get awesome prizes from HEAD. BOP Junior Team Named

The Bay of Plenty Junior Team for 2018 has been announced.  The BOP Junior Open in Putaruru (24-26 August) was the last selection event for players to force themselves into the team.   The team has a youthful, but solid look about it.  All bar one of the players selected this year will still be eligible for the team next year, which bodes well for our future chances in the event. BOP Superchamps Winners Crowned

The annual battle for the right to represent the Bay at the Superchamps national finals took place around the district over the weekend of 10-12 August.  Club teams of 5-7 players in each grade fight it out to get to go to the big dance in September to try to become National Champs.  Some incredibly close matches and ties meant for some intense atmospheres around the clubs. Autumn Interclub Results

The Autumn round of interclub has been completed.  The banners were shared around, but Devoy got their hand on the most banners, with three titles.  Taupo & Tokoroa managed two wins each.The titles were decided in most cases by a one-off final and there were some very tight ties that went down to the wire.  The tightest finish this year was in Women's Division 4, where going into the last round of the Top 4 playoff round robin, three teams had a good chance to win.  In t...

BOP Looks to Repeat Title

Bay of Plenty has named a very strong senior team to compete in the upcoming Inter-District National Championships.  This is the pinnacle teams event for the eleven districts, and this year it will be held at Panmure Squash Club in Auckland over the weekend of August 31 - September 1. Bay Premier League Champions Crowned

The latest round of the Bay Premier League has concluded and the champions have been crowned. The Bay of Plenty Secondary School Squash Championship 2018 Division 1 was held at the Devoy Squash and Fitness Centre on 16 May and the competition was fierce!The games were action packed with the athletes battling it out for the open titles. The HEAD Junior 900 Series Kicks Off

Doubles Interclub

Doubles is a fast-growing format and many clubs are reporting plenty of activity.  Squash BOP has decided to run a short, sharp Doubles interclub during July to give players an opportunity to play the format against the other clubs in the region. Homecoming for our Golden Girl

Gold for Amanda at the Commonwealth Games!

Junior Quadrangular Results

An excellent weekend of squash was held at the 2018 Junior Quad event in Whangarei over the weekend between BOP, Auckland ,Waikato and Northland. The majority of the team had a great team bonding session with the trip up taking 8 hours due to traffic congestion!
