Bay of Plenty is sending a solid team to this year's NZ Masters competition in New Plymouth 15-20 September.
The event kicks off with the individual competition which is open to players of all grades 35 years and over. Players are divided into age groups where they compete for national titles. The Bay had had a very strong history in the event with several champions in recent years. The draws are all divided into age groups (as at 15 Sep):
Men 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60+
Women 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55+
Then the regions battle it out for supremacy in the hotly contested (but loads of fun) team event. BOP last took the title in 2012 and will be pushing to be in the top few teams again this year.
