A great community club, Galatea also has some up and coming squash stars, Ian and Craig Trenberth who both represented the </SPAN><st1:place><st1:PlaceType><SPAN style="COLOR: navy">Bay</SPAN></st1:PlaceType><SPAN style="COLOR: navy"> of </SPAN><st1:PlaceName><SPAN style="COLOR: navy">Plenty</SPAN></st1:PlaceName></st1:place><SPAN style="COLOR: navy"> in 2006. They join past BOP and NZ representatives Awhina Chapman and Lenora Hati on the honours board for the club. Squash is a great sport for the farming community, allowing locals to keep fit indoors during the cold Galatea winter with club nights, interclub and tournaments.
